The Healing Power of Nature

Getting out in nature is a great antidote for the “hustle and bustle” of modern life. Just a stroll in a local park will do, or a jaunt in a wilder or more “unmanicured” natural setting is even better. I strive to do get a dose of this at least once a day. It doesn’t work if you’re staring at your phone. 🙂

It may seem obvious that spending time in nature would have mental benefits, but there are physical health benefits as well, as discussed in this video. The mental and physical positive effects are why forest bathing, which is essentially spending time in a forest preserve, is becoming so popular in Japan and other parts of Asia.

  1. Yes it is natural to get out into nature because we are also nature! We were born as close to nature as we could possibly be and then society screwed us all up! :\

This was the God, or Power within nature that Christ often referred too, but the church messed that all up thinking he was referring to a god that was on some kind of Sabbatical vacation in some far off galaxy!

Yes church, that is right, God has been right here all along within the rest of nature that you have been helping to destroy. I’d hate to be you if it decides to provide accountability, since it is, after all, just a little tiny bit of nature, that we can’t even see, that has been wiping us out!

Too bad the church doesn’t understand the Bible a little better and how people are going to be held accountable for their actions, but children will not be because they are too young, and of course the rest of nature will not be affected because it is completely innocent. Sound kind of familiar with what is happening in the US today?

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that God is going to come floating down out of the sky like he is Peter Pan! That’s just bad translation on your part.

So, ya, spending time out in nature without technological distractions is Great for healing, learning, and so much more! 🙂
