Nice Riding For Winter

We had pretty good luck with the weather this last week so I was able to ride every day. I also threw in some walks close to home. I’ll be visiting my brother in Phoenix next month and we do a lot of walking there so I’m building up to it. I’ve found after a hard day of riding, my hamstrings complain if I walk the next morning, so I’ve taken to going to a warm up ride first before the walk.

From last Sunday’s ride, this is some of the scenery not visible near the paved Coyote Creek Trail that you can get to off-road:

On Tuesday my group ride to the Southwest down to Gilroy, and the following are from that ride.

Heading South on Turlock Ave
Up Day Road
South On Watsonville Road
Burchell Road in Gilroy, one of my favorites
We’ve just crossed Hecker Pass Highway, this is the rustic entrance to the Gilroy bike paths. Not great for skinny tires so some people get off and walk
Some of the nice scenery on the bike path with the Uvas Creek preserve and the Gavilan hills to the right
